If you want to turn your book into $10K clients, you must first know your passion, but not just what topic or niche you are passionate about, but also how you want to live your life each day.

If you aren’t passionate about what you are doing, you might have some initial success, but you won’t be successful long-term because once the excitement of making money wears off, it becomes a grind.

And if you are passionate and clear about how you want to live your life day in and day out great, if not, you will quickly lose interest in what you are doing.

So, you have to look at which strategies and tasks  you enjoy and want to spend your time doing. In other words, what will excite you and make you want to get up in the morning and keep going?

Too many entrepreneurs, don’t consider these questions in a serious way. They either think they should do what everyone else is doing to “make money”. Or, they don’t think about what their days will look like if they do “X” versus what they will look like if they do “Y” as far as a business model goes. Instead, they chase shiny objects, get no where, and start to wonder if will ever truly be successful.

And if you’re a creative person, it can get worse. If you don’t consider what you love and what you want your life to look like, you can get trapped in the day to day of running a business and slowly feel the creativity and joy drain from your spirit, causing burn out and/or depression.

Doing repetitive tasks or running your business in a way that becomes rote can run you into the ground if you aren’t careful.

The key to getting past this is to outsource or automate as many of the repetitive tasks as quickly as possible.  And, to automate your programs as much as possible. Instead, use your creativity in your marketing. Or, don’t give programs. Think outside the box and find another way to make money at what you love doing.  Or, maybe your best solution is a combination.

You may even start out with one model, and then switch to another one later on. For instance, I know experts who started out doing one-on-one coaching, and then went to group coaching, or did both, and then eventually stopped individual coaching. Or, they started charging a lot of money for individual coaching so they worked with a lot fewer clients and they created a membership. Or, they found other ways to make money, for instance. by doing live events, affiliate marketing, getting sponsors  or a combination.

When you know to your core what you are passionate about and can build a business around, you’ll have completed step one on your way to $10K clients.

If you don’t, on the other hand, know what your passions are and what you want your life to look like, it’s time to get quiet, go inside and get really honest with yourself. You’ll save years off of your learning curve, and you’ll have a lot more fun in your business and your life!
