In one of the early Books, Business & Abundance Podcasts (soon to be released), I interviewed my sales coach, Eric Lofholm. And on the interview, Eric shared that when he first started writing, he managed to get 90% of his book done, and then it took him several more years before he could finish the last 10%.
He knew the book was good and in the back of the mind he was pretty sure it would be successful, but he didn’t see himself as a writer; he didn’t own it. And so, he procrastinated for years…until he could finally see himself as writer, and then it was easy to finish.
And Eric is not alone. In my 3 Days to eBook Cash Workshop, I have my students write an affirmation on a post-it note and post it all around the house-everywhere they will see it all weekend long while they are writing their books. And I have had participants tell me that the affirmation made all the difference because they started to BELIEVE and SEE themselves as the successful authors they were always meant to be.
Henry Ford said it best:
Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.
So if you want to write a book, start telling yourself that you CAN do it. Visualize your book being done, published, and for sale on Amazon. See yourself launching it to #1 if that’s one of your goals. See yourself doing book signing and interviews.
Whatever it is that you want, see it happening, affirm it and start believing it.
You can do this!
